Our Commitment

At Miami Behavioral Services, we are deeply committed to the well-being, growth, and development of every child, adolescent, and family we serve. We believe our work creates opportunities for clients to reach their full potential. By working with children and youth, we empower families to build brighter futures.

Our approach is centered on guiding the new generation to learn, grow positively, and become active, valuable members of their communities. We also recognize that ABA therapy must extend beyond the child or adolescent. We actively involve and support families, understanding that a child’s progress is directly influenced by the environment and support they receive at home.

Through dedication and professionalism, we ensure that every child experiences meaningful and positive development throughout their therapeutic journey.

Key Focus Areas

Comprehensive and Individualized Approach

Every child has unique strengths, abilities, and talents. With the right support, children with autism, ADHD, ADD, and other diagnoses can make meaningful progress and achieve theirpotential.

Family Engagement and Parent Training

We use evidence-based methods— including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Functional Communication Training (verbal, non-verbal, and social communication)—to strengthen communication skills.

Functional communication is critical for independence, autonomy, and positive socialinteractions.

Reduction of Problem Behaviors

Our therapies address challenging behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, self-injury, property destruction, or repetitive actions.

We identify underlying causes and apply strategies to replace them with functional and positive behaviors.

Social Skills Programs

We help children build essential social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, maintaining eye contact, starting conversations, and interpreting social cues.

These programs foster meaningful relationships with peers and family members.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy?

ABA therapy is a scientifically validated approach that applies behavioral principles to teach new skills and modify behaviors. ABA focuses on reinforcement to promote positive behaviors while reducing or eliminating disruptive or problematic ones.

Each ABA program is individualized and adjusted to meet the client’s unique needs, ensuring sustainable and effective progress. Data collection and analysis allow us to track outcomes and adjust interventions as necessary.

Research has consistently shown that ABA improves communication, independence, social interaction, attention, and learning of essential life skills. These outcomes enhance safety and help children integrate successfully into society.
